Dwyane Wade Fathers Child During Break from Gabrielle Union

Dwyane Wade fathered a son during a temporary split from his now-fiancée Gabrielle Union earlier this year, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The actress, 41, was aware of the child before she accepted the Miami Heat guard’s proposal on Dec. 21, a source tells the show, and the pair have worked through the issue privately. Wade, 31, has known the baby’s mother for years and recently visited with his new son.

Wade spoke to Jay Leno on The Tonight Show in September about the break from Union, whom he had dated since 2009. The separation was largely due to the demands of their work lives, he explained.

“Celebrity relationships [are] very hard,” he says. “This was a big year for us and our relationship from the standpoint of she was shooting her show Being Mary Jane, going most of the year. I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship, so we kinda took a step back.”

“We supported each other … but at the end of the day we came back together and [said], ‘Listen, we want to continue this, we want to continue to try to get better each day,’ and she’s been with me, and I’ve been with her all summer long. We’re going strong now.”

The couple shared a behind-the-scenes look at their holiday photo shoot, which features some adorable outtakes with Zion and Zaire, Wade’s two sons with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, as well as nephew Dahveon, whom he raises.

Paul Walker Car Crash: Officials Find No Mechanical Issues

Investigators have found no evidence that the Porsche carrying actor Paul Walker had mechanical problems before it crashed, killing the Fast & Furious star.

The investigation also has ruled out debris or other roadway conditions as causing the car in which Walker was a passenger to slam into a light pole and tree.

The car, a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, is notoriously hard to handle.

“We’re looking at speed and speed alone,” a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The Nov. 30 crash also killed the driver, Walker’s friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas.

Rodas, 38, and Walker, 40, co-owned an auto racing team. Rodas also was a professional driver who competed in 10 Pirelli World Challenge GTS races this year.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have calculated a range of the speed at which they think the car was traveling, but they won’t firm up that number until Porsche engineers come to California next month in the hope of extracting information from onboard data collectors.

The official would not disclose the current speed estimate. It is calculated through a formula that uses factors including the arc of tire marks from the scene and how well the tires would grip the roadway, said Chris Kauderer, chairman of the California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists.

The sheriff’s office has said speed was a factor in the one-car crash in an industrial park about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. A spokesman on Wednesday had nothing to add.

Though the car exploded in flames, its three data recorders survived and may produce information to pinpoint the speed. If they produce usable data, the recorders would be able to tell investigators whether seat belts were fastened, air bags deployed and whether Rodas hit the brakes before impact.

Because the car is so rare, investigators will need Porsche’s help to retrieve the data. A spokesman for the car company declined to comment.

The official said sheriff’s investigators also have enlisted the help of California Highway Patrol accident reconstruction specialists, who tested the brakes on the wrecked car and found that at least one of the tires was made in 2004. The CHP did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The official told AP that the Porsche appeared to have negotiated a curve in the road successfully before crashing.

“They were well out of the curve when they lost control,” the official said.

Can We Move Past the Miley Mess?

In Celebrity Life, Top This on August 28, 2013 at 8:14 pm

Miley Cyrus 2

Oh what a Sunday it was!! Who knew that Miley Cyrus could disappoint and shock not only her fans, her peers, and the media, all at the same time? Not only that, but did it in an over the top, outlandish, and totally trashy way. A few days have gone by now and I think the social media universe is moving past it slowly, but before we try to forget that this ever happened I must say, Miley is definitely not role model status for young girls and I am sure she has lost brownie points with some parents over this too.

How was this considered to be a performance or entertainment? Did someone forget to tell Miley that children would be watching the show? And what is it with the teddy bears? They should have posted a warning that teddy bears will be used, but not for their usual intended purpose. I don’t think much imagination went into choreographing her performance… and all that can be said about that is, what the ????? And to put Robin Thicke in the middle of that nonsense, I hope that never ever happens again.

One last thing, Miley’s dad didn’t see anything wrong with her antics, he praised her dancing and prancing, but what else would we expect. You know the old saying, daddy’s little girl, the apple of his eye and can do no wrong. The problem is she did everything wrong.

New York Sues Donald Trump For $40 Million

Donald Trump Addresses The Scottish Parliament Over a Proposed Wind Farm Site

ALBANY, N.Y. — New York’s attorney general sued Donald Trump for $40 million Saturday, saying the real estate mogul helped run a phony “Trump University” that promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and mostly useless seminars, and even failed to deliver promised apprenticeships.

Trump shot back that the Democrat’s lawsuit is false and politically motivated.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says many of the 5,000 students who paid up to $35,000 thought they would at least meet Trump but instead all they got was their picture taken in front of a life-size picture of “The Apprentice” TV star.

“Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of consumers’ advancement through costly programs and caused real financial harm,” Schneiderman said. “Trump University, with Donald Trump’s knowledge and participation, relied on Trump’s name recognition and celebrity status to take advantage of consumers who believed in the Trump brand.”

But Trump’s attorney accused Schneiderman of trying to extort campaign contributions from the real estate mogul through his investigation of Trump. Attorney Michael D. Cohen told The Associated Press on Saturday that Schneiderman’s lawsuit was filled with falsehoods. Cohen said Trump and his university never defrauded anyone.

He said Trump University provided nearly 11,000 testimonials to Schneiderman from students praising the program and said 98 percent of students in a survey termed the program “excellent.”

“The attorney general has been angry because he felt that Mr. Trump and his various companies should have done much more for him in terms of fundraising,” Cohen said. “This entire investigation is politically motivated and it is a tremendous waste of taxpayers’ money.”

State Board of Elections records show Trump has spent more than $136,000 on New York campaigns since 2010. He contributed $12,500 to Schneiderman in October 2010, when Schneiderman was running for attorney general, records show. An outspoken conservative, Trump himself flirted with a presidential run last year.

“Donald Trump will not sit back and be extorted by anyone, including the attorney general,” Cohen said.

The lawsuit says many of the wannabe moguls were unable to land even one real estate deal and were left far worse off than before the lessons, facing thousands of dollars in debt for the seminar program once billed as a top quality university with Trump’s “hand-picked” instructors.

Schneiderman is suing the program, Trump as the university chairman, and the former president of the university in a case to be handled in state Supreme Court in Manhattan. He accuses them of engaging in persistent fraud, illegal and deceptive conduct and violating federal consumer protection law. The $40 million he seeks is mostly to pay restitution to consumers.

He dismissed Trump’s claim of a political motive.

“The fact that he’s still brave enough to follow the investigation wherever it may lead speaks to Mr. Schneiderman’s character,” Schneiderman spokesman Andrew Friedman told AP.

State Education Department officials had told Trump to change the name of his enterprise years ago, saying it lacked a license and didn’t meet the legal definitions of a university. In 2011 it was renamed the Trump Entrepreneur Institute, but it has been dogged since by complaints from consumers and a few isolated civil lawsuits claiming it didn’t fulfill its advertised claims.

Schneiderman’s lawsuit covers complaints dating to 2005 through 2011. Students paid between $1,495 and $35,000 to learn from the Manhattan mogul who wrote the best seller, “Art of the Deal” a decade ago followed by “How to Get Rich” and “Think Like a Billionaire.”

Scheiderman said the three-day seminars didn’t, as promised, teach consumers everything they needed to know about real estate. The Trump University manual tells instructors not to let consumers “think three days will be enough to make them successful,” Schneiderman said.

At the seminars, consumers were told about “Trump Elite” mentorships that cost $10,000 to $35,000. Students were promised individual instruction until they made their first deal. Schneiderman said participants were urged to extend the limit on their credit cards for real estate deals, but then used the credit to pay for the Trump Elite programs. The attorney general said the program also failed to promptly cancel memberships as promised.

‘Moesha’ Star Marcus T. Paulk Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend

In Celebrity Life on August 24, 2013 at 8:35 pm

Moesha star

“Moesha” star Marcus T. Paulk — who played the little brother Myles on the show — has just turned himself in to authorities after allegedly putting his girlfriend in the hospital, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

According to sources, Paulk surrendered at an L.A. jail moments ago …and he was subsequently placed under arrest.

The alleged victim — a singer named Andi Roxx — tells us, it all started at a nightclub in Beverly Hills called Confidential … she and Paulk had gotten into a verbal argument because she wasn’t paying him enough attention.

When they went home, Roxx says the fight got physical and Paulk punched her in the chin. She says she swung back and busted open his lip, so he punched her again in the stomach, and told her to get her stuff and get out. She says he also kicked her in the stomach.

The next morning, Roxx says she went to the hospital with internal injuries. Law enforcement sources say police responded to the hospital soon after, where Roxx told them what happened.

Police later made contact with Paulk himself and his attorney arranged for Paulk to turn himself in today. We’re told the actor is currently being booked.

Calls to Paulk’s reps were not returned.
